Amazing things are happening at the International School of Helsinki. On this episode Diana, Ankita, Erion & Philip, student leaders at ISH, join me to talk about a student equity group at their school. Students Together AgaiNst Discrimination (STAND) was inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement and started with the help and guidance of dedicated faculty members creating a space for students to engage with issues of social justice both in their own community and globally. These trusted adults in the school nurtured student leaders and allowed them to take on the leadership roles within this group and together they have positively impacted the culture of their school.
