In this episode we break from our usual format and I have a conversation with Nolan Higdon. Nolan is an author and university lecturer at Merrill College and the education department at the University of California Santa Cruz. His areas of focus are podcasting, digital culture, news media history and critical media literacy. At Inspire Citizens we are passionate about critical media literacy and bringing these important tools into classrooms and so much of Nolan‘s work, including his new book, “Let’s Agree to Disagree: A Critical Thinking Guide to Communication, Conflict Management, and Critical Media Literacy” connects so well with our student media programs.
