Significant Voices: History Podcasts by 4th Grade Students at SFS

This week on the Empathy to Impact podcast we are unleashing the power of media as 4th grade students from Seoul Foreign School become podcasters themselves and share their learning about significant people from history. That’s right, a podcast about podcasting. Students become more aware of their chosen historical figure, learn new technology skills as they take on the role of podcasters, and celebrate and showcase their learning through this medium with a global audience. How might we unleash the power of student media in our own learning spaces? These 4th graders have a few tips that might help. Lastly, I was very lucky to be joined on this episode by Inspire Citizens cofounder Aaron Moniz who was onsite during the interview at SFS. He and the 4th grade team at SFS did an amazing job creating this learning experience for students. Reach out to Inspire Citizens to arrange an on-site visit at your school.
